On September 8, 2014, a coalition of 18 organizations led by C-WIN sent a letter to the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board as a followup to the August 8, 2014 workshop on Waste Discharge Requirements for the Grasslands Bypass Project by the Regional Board.  The letter documents the cost effectiveness and effectiveness of land retirement as a permanent solution to the selenium/salt/boron agricultural drainage problems of the Grasslands Bypass Project and the San Luis Unit of the Central Valley Project.
